12,000 service

Does anyone know what they actually do on a 12,000 mile service apart from bog standard things like changing oil,filters, spark plugs etc.

Yes - but there are between 350 and 400 "old ropes" to look after

PS - I am going independent - not just to keep the costs in check, but it's someone I trust better than most dealers I've seen.....

Seeing as we don't live to far apart perhaps you could enlighten me on the possibility of your independant haviong a look at mine ?

I am due a big service and have been quoted, with a couple of additional bits that they "forgot" to do at the last service, nearly a grand........

I would like to make it a bit cheaper if I could, without putting the car or my warrenty in danger ?
