Fantastic - just gave them a ring and combined quote for the fleet (Griff, Toucan* and the Truck) came in at roughly half of what I'm paying right now. Definately worth giving them a call.

* As in the Guinness Ad -
"If TVRs are good for you just think what Toucan do."

Do they do any track day cover? My Cerbie is just coming up for renewal so I'll be interested if I can save a few quid. It went up by 23 quid this time round (with Direct Line), which I thought was an odd amount for it to shift by.

From www.sunninghillinsurance.co.uk/pdf/tvr.pdf

'Official' Track Day Cover
You can participate in any event, whether TVR or any other, provided it is properly organised and marshalled. You must let us now(sic) in advance if you are attending. This is subject to a £1000 excess.

Just taken a new policy with them for next year - 4ltr Chim, unlimited mileage, 6 years ncb, £442. Existing insurers wanted just under £1k. Very chuffed.

Hi Graham,

A Mannings track day cover is only for official TVRCC organised events though, isn't it? (or, at least, it used to be).

I moved from Mannings (despite excellent service) to A-One for this year, purely because most of the track days I do are not TVRCC events. It was costing me a fortune to take out another policy for each TD I did

My insurance for this year with A-One was rude tho - 1500 quid. I was 28 at the time I took the policy out, with full NCD (compliments of Mannings the year before!). This was with a 6k a year mileage restriction too, and I have another car I use for day to day transport.

Will check out Sunninghill for this years renewal, that's for sure.

Sunninghill just offered me a good deal on my Tuscan.

The price was 20% less than Privilege (which wasn't bad). Plus the UK and European RAC cover, plus free European driving cover and track days makes it a fantastic deal.

Best quote I had from Direct Line was £8000!? i couldn't stop laughing at this ridiculous figure. Sunninghill was slightly better at £976, which is slightly less than I'm paying with Auto Torque. Think I'll try some of the other insurance companies that have popped up in this thread...

GBP661 from privilege. This includes no claims discount protection. About gbp550 without. No track cover. 9 years no claims. No points. Over 30. Next best was from Norwich Union Direct at gbp1100. Quite a difference.
