thing is down to 650 or so idle and doesn't idle well, stalling a lot.

if I put a tiny bit of throttle on, it idles fine at 800, so just needs adjusting.

Thing is, I need to do this NOW as I'm off to Devon monday morning.

Is there any way of doing this from the pedal box or do I need to take the bonnet off ?

Idle speed?! it's a TVR dammit, it's not meant to be idle

scrub that. should have searched harder. found an old posting telling me how to do it. Need to take bonnet off though :-(

still, will do it tomorrow.

Due a service in a month anyway, so probably gets it valves adjusted then, etc so this'll just keep me going till then.

When I first start mine up now it idles between 650-700 RPM without stalling at all. Sounds like a tractor, mind...

The valve clearances were done on mine recently, the idle is now more like 800-900. It was 700 before. I guess it gets slow as valves close up - but that should take many miles before that happens (shouldn't it?).

check in the t350 section, there is more to it than just ajusting the idle screw, it needs to be done with the computer!

Reading an old reply from Mr Joospeed the laptop isn't needed for the speed 6 as the ecu resets the min throttle pot setting every time it is started.

Idle speed is adjusted from the throttle stops. Then the wizzards at dealer lie to the computer. Forget the lies. about an eighth(at most) of a turn on the throtlle stop screw should do the job.

To find the bits take off the air filter housing.
Remember the clip underneath. (next to the inlet manifold).
