Saw a Tuscan in a reflex colour on Sunday, looked amazing, far more difference in the colour spectrum than I've ever seen on a reflex car before, reg was as above, anyone know the car ?

I saw the same car on the M40 on Friday (30/8/02). An absolutely amazing colour, gold(?) turning purple with green highlights - I have been surfing the net trying to find out the colour (hence I'm on this site, although I'm an alfa driver). It doesn't seem to be reflex purple or cascade blue, but is similar with a gold element as well. Shit, I have to get one of these one day. Do TVR use nuvola blue sometimes? (like my alfa)

You can have a TVR painted any colour you want, but a very similar colour is crystal topaz, which looks fantastic (although I am biased as I used to own one in that colour before the problems finally pi--ed me off enough to sell it!)

That colour is either Reflex Spice or Desert Moondust.

Yes, as you know this is a pearlescent light blue/silvery colour.

As Mark mentions there are also a number of cars in Crystal Topaz which is pearlescent light blue/gold (and has another biased fan here ... ).

Lol...

This car is getting about a bit!!

Had a text from my mate earlier today:

"Do you know any1 with a tuscan flip paint? With the number plate M1 TVR? He has just gone flying past me and i was doing 120. I reckon he was doing about 150."

... Good boy, whoever he is. Lol.

I guess that'll be me then. Not sure about the 150mph+ officer, that must have been someone else :-)

Thanks for the comments about the paint. It's a custom colour that I got done at the factory. A bit like some of the reflex colours, but with a bigger colour change when the viewing angle changes. Main colours are purple, geen, blue and gold; but it changes a lot depending on the light. There wasn't a TVR name for the colour, so they named it "Extreme RS" (my initials are RS) and it's the only TVR in that colour.

Generally seen around Wimbledon and at Tasmin Challenge races...

Cheers,

What color scheme do you have in the interior to match?

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my site and haven't uploaded all the photos yet. Started it again from scratch but it takes ages to get everything together. I'll try and post some photos when I get home tonight...

I would love to take the credit for the interior, but the folks at the factory get that, especially Carl (who has since left TVR) and Gemma. They were really good and cut me samples of lots of different leathers and carpets and spent ages comparing them in the outside light in the car park!

The interior goes with the purple in the paint, so I have TVR purple carpets and purple lamonta on the doors and roof. The leather is half portland grey and half azure (purpley blue!) It sounds pretty garish, but it really works with the paint. Lots of people have commented on it, but as I said, I can't really take any credit for the interior...

Cheers,

OK, could only find a few photos which I have stuck on a temprary web page. They don't really do it justice, but aren't too bad. None of the interior, unfortunately. Obviously the paint colour code is closely guarded and the factory have been sworn to secrecy!

Apologies for straying into the Tuscan group; i saw either your car on the A41 by St Johs Wood, or one very similar two evenings ago. I was driving my commuter car, but wanted to say i have a cerb with a cascade blue which seems to look very similar
