I bought them direct from Guy (sorry Joolz) and fitted them myself. Cost was just under a grand. I´ve since had the alignment reset by blackpool, and run it about 25mm lower than standard.
The car was tranformed. I´m not sure what state my original shocks were in but the car was scary on bumpy roads before. To give you an idea, over a stretch of country roads I know fairly well I was able to drive about 20mph quicker after the upgrade. The adjustment does make a noticable difference and, after trying a range of settings, I now run mine at 6 clicks from full soft.
Whereabouts in Lancs are you? We could maybe arrange a meet up if you want to try them first hand.

Apology not needed, I still sell more nitrons than anyone else

I purchased mine from Joolz for about £1K and they were fitted by TVR dealer in Belgium although its not to difficult to do yourself if you have the tools.The difference is quiet incredible particularly on bumpy A & B roads also find the straight line stability is much better. Since having them fitted the geometry settings have been changed twice, the last time by the factory. Height and damping adjustments you can carry out yourself I have mine set just a bit lower than standard as for the damping you can either have them set for comfort or very hard as they are 22 way adjustable. Well worth the money particularly if your original shocks are worn.

Have got Nitrons on my Tuscan. Much improved - would definitely recommend it. Getting my handling set up right is still a bit troublesome (largely due to changing tyres), but nowhere near as bad as before. Currently running 2 clicks from softest, and will probably soften it up 1 more.
Had them fitted by Joolz - moved them across from my Cerb when I got rid of that so cost's a bit different (buying + fitting + removing + fitting again).
Has anyone got the proper geometry specs from the factory/any better ones? And does anyone know anywhere near Derby that'll do it... really want to get the handling on this at least as good as the Cerb's!

These are the standard Red Rose settings:-
Axle Measurement Side Desired Setting
Front Caster Left 4 °

Camber Left 0.75 ° (negative)

Right 0 ° (+/- 0.01 °)
Total 0 ° - Parallel (+/- 0.02 °)

Toe-in Left 0.07 ° (+/- 0.01 °)
Right 0.07 ° (+/- 0.01 °)
Total 0.14 ° (+/- 0.02 °)
Joolz gave me some other's when I had the Nitrons put on, but can't find them.

it's the damper, at this level a spring is a spring!
Do you need stiff bushes also?

Well worth it, I never had full confidence in how the original car was going to behave under hard braking.
Now she feels fantastic:
Better cornering....
..much improved stability under braking..
and improved bump absorption
Good value for just over £1k... and they are rebuildable as I understand.

Yeah we are not too far from Oxford, Westcott Venture Park, Westcott, Bucks. The price inc the full set up inc a full print out of all your settings. The set-up is around 5hrs give or take a bit. Everyone who we've fitted these for has been very impressed by the leap in handling over the standard set-up. Even you just want to chat through the process or want some more info drop a line/mail.

An excellent reference is 'The race and rally car source book' published by Haynes.
Within is a fairly comprehensive explanation of how suspension works including not just bump and rebound but other subtleties such as variation of damping action with damper linear speed. Modern competion dampers can be four way adjustable (at a price) to fiddle with all these factors. The Nitrons have three way adjustment, if i remember correctly, but only one way (basic stiffness) is available to the owner, the others taken care of by the fitter who specifies the internal valving arrangements. They are unlikely to share this info as it is commercially sensative.
The Nitrons as fitted have stiffer springs and at the softer end of adjustment, less damping, but crucially the are much stiffer to sudden shock hence preventing the tendency for Tuscans to leap all over the road at the slightest hint of bad tarmac.

Having a pair of new rear tyres fitted next week (bought Goodyear EAGLE F1 GS-D3 255/35 R18 ZR XL) and want to have the geometric settings checked/adjusted as well.
