Normal idling speed

I'm sure there must be a thread somewhere on this, but to save me looking, what is normal idling speed?? I've heard some quote as low as 650 rpm and some as high as 1300...........

My June 00 Red Rose idles at 800 rpm. With air-con on it idles at 700 rpm.

My 3995cc Tuscan idles at 5/600 when cold and 7/800 when warm.

The correct idling speed for a Tuscan is 950 - 1000rpm when fully hot.
Any lower than this will make the car hard to start from cold, the engine feel lumpy and also it afects the running of the engine.
Due to the nature of the throttle bodies, after time the idle speed drops. This is caused by the vibration of the engine running through the throttle bodies.
It's easy enough for your dealer to alter the idle speed. If you are getting this done, it is worth asking them to set the flows on the throttle bodies aswell - makes the engine much more sharper and responsive.
