Now I'm a keen DIYer, don't get my wrong, as Domster will confirm, I've re-built my house many times over and 'Do It All' should probably have been renamed 'Dave It All' by now after their sharp hike in profits over the past fews years from my substantial cash injections, but what is it about bank holiday weekends that really drags the pond life out?

I expected to spend more time than normal in the queues yesterday of course, I'd be naive to assume anything else, but why I have to share it with such plebs and blatently rude basrds is beyond me!

What inspires grown men (and women) to queue jump, push in (chap behind and I nearly came to blows after he nicked my space when I moved aside to let someone with a wide trolley through), talk to their kids like they're shite, nudge into you with their prize length of '2 by 2' and never apologise and then when you sigh a breath of relief arriving back at your Porsche, you find some ct's left a small parking dent in your door. Yes tiny I'll admit, probably no bigger than a pin head, but about as annoying as if they'd taken my rear wing off.

Only consolation (very childish and sad I'll admit) is driving out and spotting the tosser behind me in the queue ogling my car and then recognising me in it and looking away disgusted, that made me smile....

ps: No real Porsche connection, just needed to get that off my chest!!

Scottster,

My sympathies - I too am the owner of a passenger door ding/chip courtesy of ignorant fers who can't control their kids when opening doors in car parks.

Thanks to the red Freelander owner in Woking yesterday - may the fleas of a thousand camels ...etc., etc.

Ahhh, the joys of DIY outlets. I know exactly what you mean. I've just finished a conversion of a shell for investment and went through those hassles too many times. In the end I used Travis Perkins as they deliver to your door - bliss. I've vowed never to do any DIY ever again. Unless the girlfiends out.

I saw a guy park a luurvely deep blue 993tt right in the middle of two parking spaces, in one of those car parks once. Good idea as the other scroates can't possibly dent your doors.

I use the family spaces wherever possible, because they're larger. Note I'm not condoning the use of disabled spaces. They're there for a reason.

Seeing as I subsidise every bloody other benefit associated with breeding (list available on request),I'm going to use their spaces. It leads to a few tuts and adverse comments, but one tends to rise above that sort of thing.

Jeremy, didn't notice any last weekend - maybe I was still glopping over your pretty interior tho?

Kids parking spaces, now that's a great idea, as the missus is only 4"10' she passes as a ten year old I could probably avoid the 'tuts' too! (mind you, if they saw us holding hands etc they may be tutting for other reasons)

Ikea - just don't get me started on those fuers after last week. Lets just say 'my toys' and 'out of the pram' last Wednesday evening in the middle of their kitchen department.

LITTLE BRS, did their parents say anything? and was there a lot of damage?

same thing happed to me when i was at college, plonker on a moped, who was parked next to me in the college car park, fell off ( yes, while stationary) and slamed helmet (the one on his head) against the passanger door. and the worst thing was i had bought my VW golf GTI 3 DAYS before,

Big dent on car PLUS big dent in said ploker = trip to his parents house to collect cash for repairing

Hi to you all!

May I suggest that you never visit Tesco's in Bar Hill Cambridge with a new or prize car if its to leave their parking lot scratch free .... Its a car eater!

Porsche Rules !!!
