Porsche 997 GT2

Not interested in a SOR (sale or return) as we want minimum fuss (view car, pay cash, take car would be ideal), I've experienced cars being sold this way and end up sitting in a garage 6 months then going back to the owner worth even less due to depreciation...
This GT2 should be gone fast, I've got about 15 different companies waiting to get back to me at the moment, about 10 are waiting with a cheque book, just trying to work out a figure lol

Might be an idea to say what price you're looking for to see if any private buyers are interested rather than going around the houses this way ?
I don't understand the problem with 997 GT2's. When I had mine, I sold it to a dealer and they were stuck with it for months and months. In the end, they ended up selling it for less than they paid me for it. I very nearly bought it back.
Really strange. Don't understand it. At sub-100k, I'd much rather have a GT2 than a Gen 2 GT3.

The models reputation as a “widow-maker” generally scares a lot of people; especially as an everyday proposition and would much rather have a Turbo et al. For those that use their cars on track, again the GT2 is not ideal as it is not naturally aspirated and so GT3 values are still very strong. The GT2 is really just a weekend toy and very few owners drive it every day.
I can remember when people said that the GT2 was a bargain when they were around the £80,000 mark, they said the same when values came down to £70,000. Now, when you can pick up a useable and straight 996 GT2 for £45,000 – the same is being said. This too is the case with the 997 despite it being a bargain when compared to other cars of a similar type and power output.
The 996 GT2 is arguably stronger than the 997 GT2 mainly because the cars have become much more accessible, and those spending £80,000+ are most probably more interested in cars such as the F430/360 CS/Lamborghini Murci.
All IMO of course.

800 mile GT2 08/09 in black with PCM 3 sold recently at Mayfair OPC for £102k a few months ago. You're never going to get £90k in the trade IMO for a 7k mile car in my view as the market for these is pretty limited. I've thought about one on a number of occasions as I'm sure I'd love it but then get sensible when as mine would be a daily hack I think of rear seats I'd have to give up and 4wd in crappy blighty climate. Like someone else has mentioned think I'd probably spend the extra cash and get a 458 if I could convince myself to part with another £150k! Top 555 is a good as is Bramley in the trade as they play with quite a bit of cash and are excellent to deal with. Make sure cash is in your bank first with a few on the list you mention before parting with car!It's only 7000 miles, 1 owner, carbon brakes. Pm for more info if anyones interested I guess!

Only my opinion but i have been looking at these cars for ages and I think if your car is a PCM3 car then you may get an 85 bid and possibly 80 if its the earlier car. GC and top555 have had there cars for about 6 months - GC maybe longer, i was told its the car that has been sitting around for the most amount of time. Neither will be keen to take on another and im sure TH/Bramley is aware of this so i think 78-85 depending on which pcm and how much cash they have.
At the end of this month or next Id pay 88 from an indie or 90 ish from an OPC for a mkII to give you an idea and still expect to lose 15k within a year.
to add: The last time I spoke to someone about financing such a car they said that some of the finance companys only want to deal with OPC's. That may also have a bearing on your bids.
