Just fitted some new diverter valves to my 996tt X50
I was wondering if the old ones were ok, as alot of the time i was only getting 0.6 bar, sometimes 0.7 and very rarely 0.8.
Just been for a test drive, and getting 0.8 every time, definately pulls harder and smoother.

I fitted the Bailey Motorsport ones. To anyone who attempts to fit them, just one word FIDDLY!

So to sum up, i would say definately worth doing. I paid £180 for the pair.

Does the power delivery feel smoother? I'm going through a few teething issues with mine, diverters are def. on cards, I liked the look of the Milltek ones.

Yes, feels smoother, it was like there was some very slight flat spots before, and possibly the turbos spool up quicker, although can't be 100% sure on that.

0.6 sometimes 0.7 is perfectly normal for a standard TT. 0.8 is more usual of an EC modified TT.

Hi - did the same to mine last year and it made a difference to the pick up when the throttle was reapplied after lifting off. But the new diverter valves shouldn't change the peak boost achieved once the turbos are spooled up as once the diaphragm goes they fail closed, so don't bleed any pressure off. The peak boost level is controlled by the waste gates.

Did you do the "suck" test on the old diaphragm diverters to see if they were knackered or not?

No, havn't checked old ones yet. I thought i read that the diaphragms can split and leak boost.

Looks like a worthwhile modification, where did you buy the Bailey DV's from?

Funny, I was just reading through that myself. It's a little dated (not including many of the adjustable options currently available), but a very good starters guide.

Been driving car some more today, and definately feels less laggy, and is pulling more boost, saw 1.0 bar accellerating up a hill in second gear.
I bought them from jmc motorsport near Cardiff, but you can get them from lots of places, i just looked for the best price.
