Front Mask, how do I make it black again

The front mask on my 996, below the bumper is looking very faded and almost grey now, was it meant to be black when it was new and if so, what can I use to make it black again (apart from respray?) ive tried autoglym tyre black and bumper black, neither worked - any ideas?

autoglym plastic and rubber restorer. its a green gel.

just as a follow up I used it on a few bits on the 964 after i finished working today, looked just like yours, grey and faded and now look like new!

Don't think it lasts forever but its a lot easier to aply than paint!
