Doing my usual Autotrader browse and came across this 997 that may or may not be what a fellow Pistonheader is after BUT as there are none in the classifieds at this price, i thought it was my duty to show it.

Apart from the Tip box that's a bit of a bargain (or too good to be true!) Most of the cheapest 997's don't have a Nav Module which this one does. Put's me off buying a new one though....

As standard UK spec for 997 (excluding the specials GT3s etc) the cars will have PCM incl. nav if I'm not mistaken....
So if they're coming in without I would suspect that they're imported (only Japanese spec don't have it as standard). I mean, if its standard, why would you delete it?

It does say "vat qualifying" which, unless a typo means it must have been used as some form of hire car, (you can`t reclaim the Vat on a company car used for business).

A good value car though.

Dose this mean that you would be paying more than £45k for the car? I have noticed "VAT Qualifying" before with prestige cars, Enzos,Carrera GT's etc - what does it mean exactly?

P.S.Wither it was used for car hire is not an issue surely if it passes the 111 point OPC check?

It doesn`t mean (or shouldn`t mean) there is Vat on top of the price. What it means is that the buyer will be invoiced with the Vat content seperated on the invoice. To 99% of people this is of no use, but if you were going to put the car on a hire fleet (daily hire rather than long term contract hire), or rent it out for trackdays etc then you could claim the Vat back (providing you weren`t using it as you own transport in between jobs).

Basically it must be a business tool rahter than transport for you or your staff.

Hope that helps.
