There's a couple of noises on my 993 C2S which are beginning to bug me. Maybe I should live with them but if there's a known cause I'd like to sort them. First, there's a sort of fluttering coming from the driver's window area when I drive it on rough surfaces - yet everything feels really solid and it does it regardless of whether the window's fully up or slightly open. This gets worse on bad bumpy roads. I've also got a clicking noise which appears to be coming from behind the far passenger side airvent. No amount of silicon spray will rectify this. Anyone had experience of either of these? My window seal has teflon tape under it, so I don't think either are caused by that.

mine is rock solid. that click noise only happend at 50mph when the rear spolier comes up. The same when it comes down.

I have a slight wind noise at 120mph at the top of the drivers screen but hey its a 11 year old car so I can live with that..

The noise at the top of the door is caused by the window surround and door rubber. Apply something to the rubber and failing that, adjust the door so that it closes a little tighter.

Oh and the clicking - it's most likely the engine cover release cable rattling in the door shut. To eliminate this just turn the handle 10 times to tighten the cable a little.

Ta. The clicking noise though comes from the vent in the passenger side dash - rather than where the engine cover knob is.

If you have AirCon take a look at the passenger side pollen filter- fits in a groove and may have unseated itself.
