boxster hood clip

hi all, just bought a used boxtser s. behind (and to the side) of the passenger seat, the inside hood cover seems to have become unclipped. I can see where this should be clipped back on but no idea how to do it (manual not proving very useful). does anyone have any helpful advice??

Don't take this as 100% correct but IIRC you can operate the hood so that it is halfway between fully open and fully closed. The clip will now be able to stretch to the proper place for securing - might be wrong though - seem to remember it happening on a Boxtser of mine but it was a few years ago now
