Had a look at 911virgin just now and I'm pretty sure I can see mileages listed. They're almost invisible being grey on grey, but they're definitely there.

Has Henry finally given in?

Am I seeing things?

Interestingly not many of them are stupidly high.

Personally I think this is a very sensible move by Henry - he has had a number of cars I may have been interested in but as I had no idea of the mileage and couldn't be bothered to fight to get it I never took them any further.

Well done Mr F.

confused

why are some of them listed as 'recorded miles' and others with just 'miles'?

It sort of says that you shouldn't believe it.

Anyhow, thumbs up Henry. The first question you asked (just about) when I was looking to sell you my turbo was its mileage, so I never really understood why you didn't seem to consider it important when selling.

Now all you need to do is know that the posessive its has no apostrophe and you'll be alright in my book.

Well, I listened to you all and thought sod it, if you really do feel that strongly about it then I`ll stick them on & see what happens. We ask milages when buying to guage the most we could ask for the car assuming condition is consumate, so maybe it was being arrogant to not let our customers make the same descision before calling us. I do still have qualms with older (over 6-10 year old) cars but let`s see what happens.

All the readings should say "recorded miles" because I don`t want get into trouble if the mileage on, say the old Merc, (where are third world government ministers when you need them - we`ve even fashioned some little flag poles for the front wings out of bamboo!) turned out to be wrong. If we know or have suspicions that something is wrong we either won`t put anything or put "assume incorrect".

Haven`t got a clue what you`re talking about there but if we can change it we will. (I seem to remember an English teacher telling us how W H Smiths should actually be Smith`s or was it Smiths` or was that Boots` the chemists). I don`t know. I`ll post my English school report one day - not happy reading

Henry,
I think that sometimes big miles on an "old girl" adds to the attraction somehow, "x 000 miles and she still runs like new" is a proud boast of many owners of older cars.

PS love the 997 cab, great spec.

Great move adding mileage's , now how about listing colour's a lttle more frequently confused

A large majority of your cars do not have the colour listed in the description, and with photo's very misleading in differing lights I would think with the various shades of Greys & Silvers, listing these would also be a good move IMO.

Nice looking C4S you have in stock, is this Atlas Grey?

Big improvement adding the mileage. Now what about a 50% off sale?

Sorry, you're wrong.

He also needs to understand why "fairly unique" makes us grammar pedants feel ill.

(We take a fairly unique approach to buying and selling used Porsches handling around 300 to 350 Porsche sales a year.)

Henry - I don't know you and haven't bought from you, but from all the stories on here I'd assumed all your cars were very high mileage for their age. Now I can see they're not! Think putting the mileages on your site is a good move. Hope it works out ...

Same here.
When looking for my last two 993s I was put off of calling as I was expecting abuse for asking the mileages and was under the impression all your vehicles were star trek mileages.
Now I have more info, I can guage more acurately.

Good move H, refreshing to see the "potential customer" feedback on here over the last few years has finally been of use
