They're a bit over-exciteable aren't they? Have to say I was pretty impressed by the OP's video, though. That thing sounded fantastic, was being well driven, and certainly looked pretty quick for a Mustang. I had sort of dismissed those things as shite, but that vid made me curious.

The mustang guys were doing pretty well with their arguments until this point:

"I know of no one who gives their Porsche a name. Almost all Mustang owners give their cars a name. Why do you think THAT is"

confused The only people I know who give cars names are girls

I used to call my C4 Tiptronic names all the time. Does that count?

they sound like children tbh, some of thier argumentation is rather lame, example.

C) Road presence: My colleage drives a 911 and to be honest, no one looks twice at it, yet my Mustang stops people in their tracks. People shout and cheer as I drive past. People take photos of it on their phones. People always let me pull out of junctions.. always. I am now used to the doppler shifted shouts of "Cool car" as I drive past.

ermm, right, so they buy a car based on the fact they might impress a few guys shouting "cool car"

no offence guys, but i really dont want to attract men, and wouldnt buy a car with an aim to atract men, id rather go for one that drives well, mabe im strange (and yeah I know, im a bit late with the sensible posts . . . . )

LOL @ Porsche hating troll comment.

Discussing how things compare is not "hating" in my book so lets keep it civil ey? Infact I don't see one bad word said about any Porsche on that thread. Unless you consider its mention in the same sentence as a Mustang insulting

stuff

hehehe havn't really been banned from that thread just agreed with a mod not to bother with it.

i have nothing against american cars just the reference of this racing guy in america, having a 997tt (the porsche being driven by a guy on his second track day) in his tuned stang, whatching the vid and listening to some of the drivel spouted before i come along made it look a little unbelievable, only a little mind

its one thing bigging yourself up (although its a bit gay, that, donthca think?) but its another trying to big yourself up even more by trying to get people to believe you have the fastest car in the world eva.

dont get the wrong impression, I quite like the rousche mustang, but one thing is for sure, its like a shopping trolly in comparrison to the 997tt, it really is that far apart.

and that, was my point.

To correct you, the OP said that the guy in the Mustang was on his second track day ever, not the guy in the 997 (who obviously wasn't very experienced either).

are you sure?

now really?

this guy tunes mustangs no?

you really trying to say it was his second track day, the guy who tunes mustangs for fast road/track and want us to believe that?

now, i might look and smell funny, but im not that stupid.

if you had knowledge of both cars you would see where im coming from.

On page 3:

"Right from my opening post I've said the only reason the guy in the Mustang was quicker was due his driving ability, he aint a professional or race driver though, this was his second track day."

yeah i saw that, but call me a bit strange, i failed to beilve it, you know, since the guy tunes mustangs for track/fast road use, you would expect him to be playing with the set up for quite some time (especially since it was a handling specific modification) or are you that closed minded that you fail to see that?

i thought it might just be, you know, common sense.

ETA, along with the other whoppers told on the thread by the OP trying to scream at the world he has the fastest car eva (innit) it seemed common sense would be in need of application and thus I came up with the theory its smelt of horse dung, based on the underlying fact that manure was smeared all over the posts by the OP.

Apparently his first track day was in a rented Mini Cooper S
