Afternoon all,

As I'm currently without a Porsche I've hired a 997S for the bank holiday weekend - it turned up an hour ago and is superb.

The wife is busy this weekend so I have lots of time for driving fast - I'm after a few suggestions for good roads where I can throw the car around a bit and not be caught up in too much traffic/speed traps.

My current plans are a trip to Goodwood, Salisbury/Blandford forum (love those roads ), and maybe a run to cheddar gorge - I've driven these roads before though and would appreciate some suggestions on other places to go.

Distance isn't too much of an issue as I have unlimited mileage

Cheers

The road from Petworth down to Goodwood is nice with lots of twisty bits and elevation changes. Worth investigating the OLD RAILWAY STAION at PETWORTH, actually its a few miles east of Petworth (towards Goodwood). One of the best B & B`s in the country it uses old Pullman carriages for the accommodation. Call in and have a look and tell them you are investigating for future use.

Don't tell anyone else though!

Like your style, hired a 997S when your mrs is busy, (ironing or shopping?) rolleyes

Just keep away from all the bankholiday traffic going to the westcountry and you'll have a great time.

cheers flow99 the wife is busy having a dress adjusted/ shopping and general other lady things that she's been good enough to excuse me from having to attend

Took the car out for a bit of a blast an hour ago - excellent car - feels very different to my old 996, liking PASM Looking forward to driving it properly tomorrow.
