ECU Correction
Discussion
After changing parts like Air boxes and Exhaust systems how long does it take for the ECU to adjust to new fuel/air settings and how does it change with different driving styles
I read somewhere that if you drive the car fast and harder the ECU will adjust to maximise the efficency is this correct?

Hi
A typical bosch ECU from say a 996 will adjust almost instantly (sure this is same for other manufactures too)
As it will see an increase in airflow through the air mass sensor and adjust the fueling to suit it...if the increase is sufficient to warrant an increase at all.
Would not of thought it would adjust for an exhaust system though.
