The Black Turbo Engined 3.2 at H&S

Try as I have - I've not been able to get this car out of my mind...
www.germansportscars.de/shoper.html
Eveyone I've spoken to thus far has said I'd be bonkers to think about it - arguing that re-sale in the UK would be tricky for such a limited market car (Old/Modified/import/LHD etc. - but its just such a mad car I'm seriously contemplating getting a flight over to have a look.
I'm guessing it would be fairly light relative to a 965 - and thus go like an absolute rocket ship.....
Reasonably stealthy too....
any opinions?

Bonkers is about right - but if you've got a little voice in your head saying you need it then why not?
If it was me I'd be thinking about who I'd want to look after it once I got it back to the UK, and asking them what they think about the spec before parting with my hard-earned.
Also - I know the stealth thing is part of the appeal, but doesn't it look a little....ordinary (ducks for cover)

I cant seem to get a link to the pic sorted - but 'ordinary' is not the first word that springs to mind.....
maybe 'condorman'
...OK apart from the after-markety chin spoiler..and tear drop mirrors...and 2pc/3pc? wheels...and clear indicator lenses...and whale tale...and...oh shut up
Thought I'd get a balanced opinion for you lot!!!
the only issue that is bothering me is the potential for resale in time -
then again at £20k, how much is it really likely to fall??
I can't see any more than a 5-7k hit which over a couple of years (the average i tend to keep my cars for) - is just over a couple of hundred quid a month.
with a heavy fighting fund for maintainance, thats gotta be value??
- i seem to be talking myself into it......fbrs said:

uhhhhhh ok. i'll buy it off you in 2 years for £15k...
seriously, you're not going to lose money on depreciation.
I know - I'm just working out the 'worst case scenarios' needing out for whatever reason...having to take it to Henry for a trade bid (that would be interesting....)
as some of the fellas on rennlist have pointed out, it's been on their site for quite a while...

Thats an awesome car.
Worst case scenario is you don't go and see it and never find out.
Ive also looked with interest at that car!
Somebody has spent serious money on that car, essentially to get a mechanically similar car to a 964T S lwt, but in a narrow Carrera body and with a semi lwt interior. Im not entirely sure *why* somebody would do that, but the result is very appealing...esp at that price!
I dont think there are many who have experienced the 383BHP 3.3 Turbo engine in the lwt 964T S, but I have and it remains an utterly vivid memory that not even a Sagaris on full blast can match. Mid range is phenomenal and the noise fantastic.
Personally, I say go for it. If you dont, in a cpl of months if things go to plan, I may well do so. Translation: if she lets me.

I'll join the queue and buy it off you in 4 years for £10k!

I like the idea of this car for 20K. Sort of a cut-price Ruf Yellowbird.
Definately a cut price yellowbird. The up side is that for £20K you ain't going to buy a quicker 911, have more value per £ or IMO loose much money if any. The down side compared to say a Ruf is a little less power (but it is a fifth of the price), weighs a bit more especially with a hefty turbo engine and gearbox hanging out the back. It won't drive as well as a 3.2 carrera on 15 or 16" rims. But that can be said about 964's, 993 or 964 turbo's that all drive nicer on 17" rims.
At least speak to Thomas Schmitz I am told he is an incredibly honest guy to deal with.
