Guys,

I'm hearing that the 997GT2 will be "officially" announced sometime this week.

Has anyone heard any snippets of information e.g:

1) Will the GT2 be an 08 model an therefore the first of the facelift cars?

2) Will PDK be an option?

3) What will the power output be?

4) Special colours

etc. etc.

They cannot take a deposit until it exists but as with TT and GT3 launch; OPC's have there 'preferred customers' - definition: those with multiple Porsche purchase records, always spec highly and with large disposable incomes.

Yeah my orginal £10k deposit fo the TT is now in the "hold" account pending release of the GT2 - when it will be swapped over to that.

I have the first (and they fear possibly ONLY) GT2 on "order" with the OPC - but they don't know anything on the specification of the car and claim they won't until official information is released.

could be a real beast if they stick to the widowmaker philosophy. if it's heavy and idiot proof, will be disappointing.
