Just wondering if you GT2 chaps would let me know who the best insurance company is, i got a price of £1750 off my current broker, just wondering if there was anyone better. I haven't bought a car yet, just doing my homework!

This might sound silly - but try elephant.co.uk. When having a play around last year I got a quote for about £700 at 27 years old, 2 yrs no claims, parked on street. And it was deffo a GT2 it was a quote for, although I suspect the person that wrote the quote SW may have just put it in as a 911 with a 10% premium, as I suspect the can't have much data to base prices on.

Thanks, i will give them all a bell and see, my quote was from Adrian Flux, 6000 miles a year and garaged, i thought it was steep as my 930 is for the same mileage but modified and only £650 per year, hopefully i can get a better deal! Then it's down to searching for the right one....

Not as silly as it sounds.....I use elephant on the GT3. Did a quote on the website that was way below the best I could get elsewhere (like 2/3rds). Rang them up to double check...they confirmed the premium....took the policy...renewal came through at virtually the same...and yes you can use Porsche approved centres..checked that too...they just won't give you a courtesy car.

Same car, same company and pretty much the same price for me. You may get cheaper elsewhere, but may come to regret it if you need to claim.

For my GT3 I am currently on Admiral at <£680. However - no track day cover and I want that this year so I am going to have to move and by early indications on quotes, it looks like it is going to cost...
