As my GT2 was quite quick around Snett on wed, thought I might enter it in le mans this year.
Is the GT2 class still available?
Will my old Nat B licence get me in the race? (am prepared to do some gran turismo licence upgrades on the playstation)
Anybody fancy doing the other 2 8hr stints, I wanna start the race.

PML....yeah, I'm up for it!!..first practice day is on the Friday afternoon mate, lots of spectators that attend in fancy dress on that day too...generally has a theme of "something blue", if I'm not mistaken?

Anyway, let me know what time you want me to stint, and I'll make sure I'm well-refreshed!

I've an old Nat B lying around, so I'll have a go. I've my own helmet and gloves and everything. I'll take the night stint if nobody else wants it as I wouldn't mind catching up on a few audio cassettes I bought but haven't listened to yet. That thing got a reading lamp and a cupholder in it?

I'm happy to be a wheel man as long as you supply the McClaren style Darth Vader helmets and pies on demand

Slight hiccup! just realised my missus nicked my playstation, when she walked out last year! sure we can get around the licence issue.

was thinking eurotunnel early on the friday, then sprint straight down. will only need 1 banzai qually lap as with my new geo setup, am sure I will put car on pole.

no cupholders I'm afraid as am going for the lightweight approach, but will be loading boot with a couple of gerry cans of Vmax, just incase we run out down the mulsanne straight.

I've just got a new trolley Jack, I'll bring that along.

Plus if there's still a driver slot I have a crash helmet and some addidas driving shoes. I've done a few trackdays at Croft, should be experience enough?

No cupholders? Balls. Never mind - I'll rig a straw into the helmet for a pint of Starbucks. Caramel Macchiato, maybe. Someone was looking for a spanner earlier. I think I have one I can bring. More importantly though, I've got a load of Mini-Maglights which should be great, as the pit crew can put them between their teeth as they clamber around the car and look cool. I suggest we all brush up on our Top Gun, because I'm not leaving or entering the pits unless I get cool hand signals.

if your lights, like mine, are as searingly bright as a couple of glow in the dark fridge magnets, i aint doing a night stint.

Reading this post I think you maybe struggling on the qualifying, As I am heading down on the Wednesday I would happily volunteer to drive the car to Le-Mans and partake in the Qualifying sessions on your behalf (I can even make Some practice sessions).

We could transplant the Diesel Unit from my Fabia into the GT2, we might just have to find a bit more BHP though....

We could just call ourselves Team Porsche. Not as though Porsche have been at Le Mans recently enough for anyone to get upset. Failing that, the neame Team Audi seems to be a lucky one these days.

Or if we run the Skoda Powered Diesel Porsche we could be Team Skorsche.

Wanna keep team name on theme and with a PH feel..

so "Team Pork-head" will suffice.

Am gonna run my half worn 888s for qually and first stint. Am arranging for Simply tyres Steve to be on hand, with my nicely scrubbed in PS2s for you night time wallahs. This should help our grip if we get a little late drizzle. But the PS2s will have to get me home Sun night, so no doughnuts after the race.

OK, So it's all sorted then. All I have to do is search local car boot sales for some overalls and pop off to my mates house to borrow his Kenny Roberts replica helmet. See you all there.
