I got a call from a very nice chap from this company about a P car I'm selling. Hes very keen to come, take a look and close the deal, with payment, tomorrow, he wants the car to run himself (its relatively unusual).

www.privatecollections.co.uk/

They look pretty legit and the owner is well informed, business like and friendly but just wanted to check if anyone has dealt with them on the safe than sorry principle.

I've had quite a lot of interest in the car but would like to sell it to someone who knows what he's looking at and the chap does seem to fit the bill.

Thanks

as far as i am aware the company is legit. They have been advertising in autotrader for a while and have a good turnover of stock

whether the buyer wants your car for himself or stock is debatable but if the price is right dont be put off, unless there is a real enthusiast out there who is willing to stump up the cash when you need it

Thanks Darren for the info. You could be right about the story but I actually do think he wants it for himself but as you say money is money. Its a rather particular 928 and even though the price is good its going to appeal only to a select few of impecible taste. I have two or three others keen but have put them off until I know if the sale goes through tomorrow.

So long as its chaps or TT you know you have the cash.

They have been advertising a turbo for a fair while, and Slades Garage always has nice stock in their.

Perhaps I'm too pedantic but they really could do with some more care in their listings; they're littered with spelling mistakes. "LA MANS", "VALANTE", "high speck", "beutiful", "1997 modle car", "coverd" and "for the fist time" are just a handful of examples.
