Having just bought my first 911 (2000 996 C2S) at the weekend, and knowing that it hasnt been driven anywhere for about 7 weeks, im wondering if putting a petrol additive in to clean the injectors etc would help or it is somthing that should be totally avoided and could cause damage? anyone any ideas or expereince, and if so what products etc.

thanks
Jon

1. Are you 'that' Jon Bentley (5th Gear, ex top gear when it was at BBC Pebble Mill)

2. Best avoid fuel injector cleaners would be my initial guess. Its a topic that has come up before - I guess Mike at sportand classic or Baz from Hartech will be along shortly to confirm or deny.

No problem go ahead. It's not as essential as it was some years ago as modern fuels now contain additives to assist in keeping injectors clean. I use it about every six months on all my cars.
