Hi Folks,
My name's Kim and my car's a 1996 993 Varioram in Polar Silver with RSR mufflers,
Motorsound Airbox and Performance chip. It's used every day, come rain or shine.
The numberplate was bought for my son, it's his favourite programme.
I'm based in East Sussex, UK.
Nice to be here - cheers, Kim

Front plate sticker - nice touch....never seen that on a 993
That's an interesting point. The number plate pad provided on the car is on the small side and I've had my plate sized to match, which looks okay though it doesn't obey the rules. (Been like that for three years' worth of MOTs though and no one has picked it up yet.) However, I'd be prepared to remove the pad and put on a sticker the correct size - it looks good. Is there any problem in doing this, and where would one buy such a sticker?
(Sorry for the mini hi-jack!)

My 993 came with a front number plate sticker and it was the first thing that I binned as I thought it looked a bit E-type Jag!
Also with the sticker on mine you could see indentations where the two fixings for the number plate holder are mounted, not too nice either...

Hadn't thought of that - would it be possible to smooth out the indentations with some sort of filler? The pics on this page don't suggest any lack of smoothness.... As to looking like an E-type, I see what you mean but I'm not sure it would put me off!
