Few interesting points:
- it seems to be being driven by that scots comedian off "Mock the Week"
- he's got balls ragging the car that hard when he doesnt even know what wheel drive it is till 1/4 way round
- Bet Sabine wasnt pleased having someone keep up and waving at her round bends

Good video, and its quite funny how naive the passenger is.
Also, he sounds like that guy Shabaz, the nutter from Big Brother.
Oh and Lonman once said he passed Sabine on the ring down into Fuchshore in his GT2, and she wasn't very pleased at all.

The GT3 wasn't driven by the scottish sounding bloke.
Frankie Miller is the comedians name and honest to god, I'm not convinced he wasnt driving it they sound that alike! Unless you're alluding to something?
Its quite disconcerting the way the M5 bounces through the bumps

I believe he's saying the Scottish bloke was a passenger...
Did you see the number of times the BMW had to apply opposite lock just to keep it on the track. The porsche driver was much less busy. I know that he probably has fewer passengers and thus significantly less weight, but that video makes the Porsche look fantastic. I have been a passenger of Sabine and it was a phenomenal experience, but that the same speed lap in the GT3 makes it look a bit pedestrian!

Sabine always hams it up for the punters, often off line and out of shape, - that's partly what you're paying for. She punts the taxi round between 10 - 20 secs slower than she can on a proper solo lap. It's no biggy to keep up or pass her in anything half decent - I've done it a few times in fairly normal cars (BoxsterS - couldn't get past in that one, 997S, GT3 etc.) and I'm no Ringmeister. She is driving a squillion ton saloon with a full load of passengers after all!
Fun vid.though.

agreed. most the time shes just having a laugh, entertaining passengers, if she spots a worthy rival, you get a glimpse of what she can really do
local gt3's seem to do it... fantastic, what a girl! i *think* the driver is a chap called anders or ulf, i forget.

I had Fritz take me round in the Ring Taxi at Easter and I can confirm that firstly, it's fracking fast, and secondly the tail-out antics are nothing but showboating for the crowds at certain parts of the track. As you say, why shouldnt they as its not their car and the tyres are changed every ten laps so you might as well get jiggy with it.

Those bikers look so vulnerable - not surprising the Ring's got such a mortality rate.
yeah, and quite selfish sticking to the racing line with a car behind them...
like that guy at the start, as sabine finally gets alongside he starts to wave obscenities until he realises who it is so waves sorry instead!

Indeed. And please allow me to make a grossly unfair and sweeping generalisation now by saying that bikers at the 'Ring are, by and large, effing lunatics. I've been pushed off line, sent onto the grass, sent up on kerbs and generally had my paintwork threatened on many occasions by some of the worse ones. I've some spectacular footage of this on camera where closing on a gaggle of motorcyclists in my Caterham, sent them into full-on enraged gorilla mode as they all busted their arses trying to stop me from passing. Took me about 10 kilometers to get the last of them. Should I have just slowed down and let them off? Yes. But f**k that. I started off at my first 'Ring visits fairly meek and so on, but as you get faster, you notice that most of the faster motorcyclists seem to permanently forget to check their mirrors, and the quicker ones seem to think they're the fastest thing on the circuit and don't quite get why they should let you by as you sit in frustration off their back fender. You've to be massively cautious around bikers there, because you will kill one if you drive like a t
t, but it's a fine line between being considerate to bikers, and wanting to just get past the feckers at the same time. ETA - I would never drive like this on the road.
