I have the standard seats in the 1991 944S2. Classic grey, leather, electric (but not heated) Recaros. The passenger one is almost perfect. The driver's seat - well I sit in it rather than on it if you know what I mean. I need the cushioning in the seat squab and the back insert replacing. Can this be done, and where would you use in the North West?

I e-mailed Recaro in Germany and got a "you must go to OPC" answer from them.

Thank you for your help.

I'd use Southbound but they certainly aren't in the NW. They did pretty much exactly this for the driver's seat in my 993 at the same time as a re-trim, what a difference.

Someone will doubtless be along to suggest someone more local to you.

Another vote for Southbound, they re-trimmed my Racaro SPG in leather, fantastic job. They are a Recaro agent BTW, and can source any trim you can ever imagine!
Trouble is they get quite busy so a long wait, and if you're up north, it's a long way.

Hi John, a lower cost alternative to Southbound is Jeff Mussell's restoration services (01483 426526, Godalming in Surrey), again some distance from you.

He did a great job of restoring my sportseats:

Try posting or searching on the TIPEC forum - loads of 944 owners there.
