Tyre question for Boxster

Hi all,

I have seen reference to "N" rated tyres for the Boxster.
What exactly is this and does it mean that a "regular" tyre such as an AVON ZZ3 (225/40R18Y) would not be sufficient?

The N index designates a tyre designed in conjunction with Porsche and approved by them. You should not mix tyre manufacturers/ tyre type or even the N number if possible
