Next weekend I am doing the clutch and slave cylinder on my 964, if anyone is interested I will do a short how to do it with photo's as I'm working through, if no-one is then I won't bother with the extra work!

Anyone who wants to come and help please feel free to offer some muscle for the drop/raise too!

You're a bit to high up for me to come and lend a hand but would be really interested to see it, even if that might make me a bit of a geek for saying so... thumbup

Yup. I'd like to see it too. I'll get my anorak* dry-cleaned in the meantime (if my Mum's too busy).

*meant in the nicest possible way - I'd be genuinely interested to see the job done

I'm always interested in seeing the how, what and detail of car internals - so any pictures you do end up taking will be viewed with interest.

So yes please - if you get a chance

To be totally honest it isn't really a 2 man job anyway, I've done it before about the only tricky bits are the initial drop and the raise, mainly to have someone to guide and check things are going straight. Thats what friends who owe favours are for!

I have my own guide for this procedure

Get in car turn on engine drive approx 10 miles to specialist, hand over keys.

Return couple of days later hand over large amount of money and drive off in "driving like new" car.

If you can do it yourself thoughclap

Pesty, nice looking car you have in Tahoe? Blue. You don't see many in that shade.

How does it ride with the 18's on?

Hi, Thank you its actualy called cobalt blue and there is not many around although there were 3 in telford before I moved back up here

My car has always had 18s so I cannot compare for you but with 18s I get a lot of tramlining. Can be quite a fight on poor b roads when pressing on. I imagine 17's or even 16's would be a lot easier to drive with on these cars.

I run 225 tyres at the front 265 at the rear.
It still has origonal susspension which may be pretty worn next job struts etc etc.

Nope had a slight change of plan and got another clutch kit on order from U.S. Should be here in the next week or so, then doing it not this weekend coming but the weekend after, along with slave cylinder, handbrake cable and a few other jobs while its out, may as well change the plugs and tappet chest cover seals while I'm in there, and I suppose I would be daft not to set the valve clearances too.

Oh fun...............
