Wot, there's an underneath to it as well ? yikes I only clean the top shiny bits

I know there is less sound deadening material under the roof skin and carpets, is there really less underseal underneath when compared with a Turbo ? I think you'll find the factory is pretty tight with it on all the shells these days, Most profitable car maker etc, etc.........

Not sure if its braced/strenghtened in any way at the rear...certainly cant see anything visual...

There is no under seal on the gt2 at all.....weight saving again...although im not sure if that out weighs corrosion protection ?

Noticed this myself when I bought the car confused I had mine into Specialist Cars of Malton who steam cleaned the underneath and waxoyled accordingly, definately a worthwhile investment.

Can I just get a confirmation on this:
The TT and GT2 and C4S use the 'widebody' body shell.

Do any other 996 use that 'widebody' body shell too? GT3?

Out of morbid interest, would the rear light clusters from a 'widebody' body shell car fit a regular body shell car?

Listed on the invoice as Steam Clean Underbody & Waxoyl, however it was included in the price of the Major Service, Front Bumper Re-Paint, Brake Pads & Shims, Wheel Refurb etc. Definately worthwhile IMO though.
