I'm currently looking at a GT2 on a Y reg and a GT3 on a 53 reg. The GT2 has done 46k whilst the GT3 has done 29k. In terms of price theirs about 2k difference.

I just wanted to know which car would people from this forum go for and why?, has I'll probably be keeping the car for around 6 years therefore, should I worry about depreciation on a LHD GT2?

Thanks for your help.

Both fantastic cars in their own right, but what is the main purpose of the car, trackdays, weekend fun, daily driver etc.?

It will be just a weekend car only, and may even use it for 1-2 track days a year.

I bought a LHD GT3 last summer it is the best car I have ever driven let alone owned I fitted a Tubi Exhaust which sounds fantastic the 90 litre fuel tank is fantastic I filled up in Germany on Sunday and am still driving on it today(just). And the pedals are in the correct place , overtaking in the UK is not a problem at all just a simple skill to be learned .
lots of people know how to look after them I especaly recomend Parr if you want to hone your set up after a while.
Sorry I have become a bit of a LHD bore

I can't really comment on the GT3 as i've never owned, only driven one for a short time, however they feel more nimble than the 2 and have a glorious soundtrack from the NA motor, power delivery is obviously very linear in comparison.

I've had the GT2 for 2-3 months now and wouldn't swap if for anything near its value, power is brutal and it handles extremely well IMO as long as you give it the respect it deserves. A good aftermarket exhaust will bring the motor alive, particularly when the turbo's kick in and performance is as you can expect, supercar territory...

Both fantastic cars, i'd suggest you have a good long drive in both to really get a feel for their strengths and then find the best car you can for your money.

Get the 2 and use it as an excuse to do some trips to the continent...

2 if it is a weekend car and for the occessional track day.

I would have said that the only real world difference you will notice with LHD will be that you will be 5-10 meters further back from the car you are about to overtake that usual so you can see around but with the extra beans that wont make any difference. Add to that you will be making more moves after laft handes than rights iyswim.

Only 'issue' I would have would be the smaller resale market in this country but if you are going to hold on to it for a number of years i'd go for it, and you can always send it over the water when it comes to resale time.
