Cabriolet zip stuck ...?

I have an 89 carrera cab - the zip is stuck fast, think that it has weathered in - have tried WD40 but still won't move - can anyone suggest an alternative before I have to replace the whole top?

Thanks all - got it moving, have tried the graphite - it works ! (and as if I had reason to doubt !_ many thanks to all.

HI you will need a pair of plyers and a deep breath . I have done this a few times it works or just leave it untill the rear screen ceacks.

Have you tried shaving lead from a pencil into the zip?

yup dont use wd40 you will stain the hood and it soesn't work very well anyway, use talk or pencil graphite, but unfortunately brute force is the answer to unsticking it first time! Do lower the hood slightly to take tension off first though.
