Where are you based. If near Leeds, I can suggest Motorsport Wheels. Always cheaper than any supplier I've ever called.

3973484739842347 or whatever your name is - if you are only changing the rears, make sure you match the front tyres. DO NOT MIX TYRES ON 911s. If you have Michelin on the front, get the same for the rear.

Eyup Stevie

Ring Motorsport Wheels in Leeds - 0113 218 8777, then buzz down the A1, get tehm fitted and buzz home. YOu'll then have bedded the tyres in on the way home. Sorted!!

Where does it say that? My TT is running on Bridgestones. Cars tend to get supplied on different tyres depending on the deal the manufacturer happened to have with the supplier when the car was bought.

Are you sure that is right John?
I thought you only had to keep the same tyres across the same axles, not front to rear?

Different compound's from different tyre manufacturer's can have a detrimental effect on handling when on differing axle's.

Stick with the same Brand allround, its a Porsche not a Fiesta.

Spot on. Match fronts to rears, also where they are present get the same "N" number.

O/T Would you mind turnging the cap lock key off please.

I'm very sure! Its a real false economy to save £20 and have, say Michelins on the front and Bridgestones or Pirellis on the rear. Most, if not all 911s are extremely sensitive to tyres and geometry. I have mixed tyres on a 964 while waiting for a supplier to get some stock in and the car was a different kettle of fish. I know rib you all the time to BUY TOTAL 911 MAGAZINE, but this time I'm just giving you good advice. Don't mix tyres.
