hi want to get a 996 with budget up to 44k max
like the look of the c4s and the turbo which will be the better purchase.
don't really want too many miles on clock.
thanks

but you will be buying at the bottom end of the market for that.

having said that, there truly isnt any comparison between the two. turbo wins hands down

another vote for a turbo. but perhaps save a bit more to get into a slightly better one.

I'm still waiting to finalise a deal for a 996 TT ('02 black/black, PCM with low miles) but for a few £k more, get yourself a Turbo. Just drive both back to back for best comparison and I'll wager you'll be wanting the TT.

wow - missed that.

KayC - you got a spec for your car? If your deal falls through I have a mate who is desperately looking for a well specced/looked after TT and was intending on adding a few mods that you seem to have done already.

Turbo is a better car no one would dispute that. However £44k will give you a choice of plenty of very good C4Ss and frankly the dregs of the turbos on the market. I reckon a £50k turbo will hold its value quite well over the next few years if that helps you with throwing more cash at it.

turbo it is then thought as much to be honest the only other choice was a gt3 but
hard too find a good one also used to the torque of a turbo always going to be quicker then the n/a machine.
thing is my mother got a turbo but not selling till may she want's the new one.
i don't think i can wait that long.

bit of a no brainer really because i would take the turbo everytime but then again for the price, the c4s is likely to be in better condition with fewer miles on the clock.

Not true.

There are TTs out there with the same mileage or less for the same money as C4S'. The TT will of course be 1 or 2 years older.
I don't agree that a low £40k TT will be in bad condition either. See previous thread about the one at RSJ.

And if you still cannot decide watch these 2 videos:

I defy you to still want a C4S now.
