Morning all,

The answers probably no but ive just got a new porker to replace the 996. I didnt want to trade in my other car against it so now i have a 968CS and a scooby P1 to insure. My insurance company (privilige) have put the porker onto the main policy and are temporarily insuring the P1 for a massive 250 quid a month cos they wont apply my NCD to it!!!!

I need to come up with an economic method of insuring the P1. dont really want to cancel my privilege policy cos its got 5 months left and ill only get 1/4 of the policy value back. Any thoughts?? ive contacted A1 insurance and they havent phoned back yet so i assume they cant help.....

Cheers

Phil

Nowell & Richards did this for me with a policy through NU - policy on my main car was held with a different broker / insurer.

Put the Porsche on a classic policy and the Subaru on your Privilege policy

I run my Lotus through a classic policy, have the Porsche & range rover Sport both with Elephant. Porsche takes the NCB, which is then mirrored onto the Sport.

Try A Manning, Marsh (runs the Porsche GB approved scheme) and Aon. I think the first two will mirror the NCB on the P1 and Aon will insure the 968 as a classic and the P1 as the everyday car of the classic car policy holder. It pays to ring around.

From what i remember - Admiral Insurance let me mirror my no-claims when running 2 cars so i have 2 sets of full no-claims bonuses at the moment, not sure if thats of any help.
