HELP folks advice on a PORSCHE 996 Turbo 2004
Discussion
Is this a good buy folks it`s from a dealer?
PORSCHE 996 Turbo 2004 04
Basalt Black Metallic , Black Leather Upholstery, Heated Electric Memory Seats , Bose Sound , PCM II, Phone Module , Red Seat Belts , Small Alu Pack, Rear Park Assist, Manual Transmission , Chrome Tail Pipes, 2 owners from new, Reg June 2004
It`s out of warranty so it will need 111 point check and then £895 warranty.
Just wanted opinions before I go and look at it.
Is it a better financial option than buying a 997 c2s at say £55k in residual terms??

its bang on the money. OPC would be trying to relieve you of £65k for a similar car.
spec is spot on. just the colour combo which would making selling on a doddle and the interior spec sounds great.
as for residuals, there is still some more losses to come out of turbos, and they are dropping steadily, however the same can be said for the 997 and with Pork building their models in increasing numbers this will only continue.
However, the Turbo is unlikey to drop below 40k whereas the 997 will eventually. 2000 registered, so 7 year old, turbos are now hovering around the 40/45k mark. 50% in over 7 years is not too bad.
get the check done, buy the warranty and grab the car. far far better than a N/A 997

It's a great deal - and if it's stickered at £59k then I'd push for the warranty to be thrown in and knock another grand off... just because the dealer would already have priced that in.
Black/black is relatively/surprisingly hard to come by and massively sought after - all the cars out there are silver/black (yawn).
996 TT is a FAR more entertaining drive than a 997 C2S - and as previous post mentions it has far less money to lose than a 997 (it's already lost a lot).
Buy, buy, buy - and if you don't pass on the details and I might.
