Hi whats the best way to make my 944 non turbo sound throaty?

Been told air induction has not much effect.

Any suggestions?

I once told a kid I worked with that to make his Corsa sound more sporty he should drill half a dozen holes in his exhaust. It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but his response was "does that really work? I might try it this weekend". The plonker.

See if you can get Mariella Frostrup to sit in the passenger seat and talk alot...

I've read on the net about drilling 4 X 2" holes in the front of the airbox on the later models......would'nt fancy it myself but each to their own.
There are decat pipes and sports exhaust silencers available from Essential Styling which look pretty good, and according to their sales blurb release a few BHP as well.
Either way they look really well made, there's a link on their website (I think) to a video clip with sound.
