The day finally arrived...

YEAH....just picked up my first porsche. Lovely zen blue boxster S. Blowing a blizzard, night time and driving snow...just what i needed. I have been driving for twenty five years but was still a little apprehensive. Anyway off we sets....what a revelation. The thing just sits on the road and you know without trying that you can trust the road holding, steering is direct and responsive, and the cabin/cockpit is just gorgeous. After about 50 yards I knew i was in love, and why these things cost that little bit more. Thirty miles later i left the motorway, which i had taken at granny pace and hit the "A" roads. I waited for a good long safe straight, changed to second gear and floored it (spanked it, gave it some, booted it, did one, etc)......f*uck me....thought I...
..... adrenelin pumping and actually laughing out loud; the thing just growled and took off... faster than a whore on speed.
I know you guys will think mmmm just a boxster, but for me it was memorable. Going to do it all again today, just to make sure it still works, driving to Hull has never filled me with such desire; im sure it must be illegal.
Anyway, much thanks to those of you who took the time to respond to my posts, really appreciate it and see you somewhere down the road (thats me in the boxster S... laughing with joy and still only doing 55mph).

You are SO fickle - you once told me that I spread enough light for you, and this is how you repay me !!
(PS of all the odd things I've done in my life a whore on speed is one I can definately say I've missed out on!!)
