Two 997 questions

I'm just about to start looking for a 997 C2S and wondered if someone could answer the following:

I seem to remember reading that there were a few subtle developments in the 2004-2005 cars. E.g. Was there an issue with the sat nav in the MY2004 cars (possibly re points of interest and/or traffic notification from memory)? I believe there were a few minor engine mods in 2005 which allowed retrospective x51 fitment. Can anyone advise if there is a particular build month/date that I should aim to buy newer than?

If it's any help, my March '05 997s didn't have the traffic notification, while my September '05 997S does.
(Unless I never switched it on.)

MY06 Cars have TMC as standard, MY06 cars and earlier can be upgraded for about £400 from memory.

My 04 C2S has the traffic info. It's a Swiss model though
