996 - suspension options..
Discussion
Hi guys. Due to some issues which I can't go into on this forum (yet) I might have to replace all the suspension on my 2002 996 C2 in the near future.
My planned use is road and nurburgring and a bit of trackdays. I'm no track superstar so I'm not looking for a track tool but I would like a sportier ride as I was unimpressed compared to my last car which felt a lot more sporty (S2000)
My car currently has non sports suspension on there. It's also under porsche warranty so I'm thinking of putting porsche sports suspension on there. Is this any good? What other aftermarket options are there that will suit my needs?
Many thanks

There's a suspension section here www.rennlist.org/main996faq/faq.ht
Thanks I've seen that and am considering those options. However how much better is the porsche sports suspension vs standard suspension. I don't really want to lower the car either as I live in london and have to deal with speed bumps etc.
Also I'd imagine porsche stuff would be better for warranty than aftermarket.

I had a car with TechArt springs.
Following a friend's 996 with the standard suspension it was certainly more neutral compared to the std understeer. There were times where the std could jump on the power, and I had to modulate the throttle as the road was bumpy.
However it was noticeably stiffer and uncomfortable round town. Loads of roads I had to avoid due to speed bumps I just couldn't clear.
Certainly didn't affect the warranty, though this may be due to TechArt being Porsche approved iirc.
