Ok after yesterdays slight mishap with the RS I thought I'd take some pics of the GT3 that was detailed at the same time this week, to cheer me up.

Guards red is a very difficult colour to get looking good and even more so on the later cars because of the water based rather than lead based paint.

Glynn O'Donnell, ex General Manager of Specialist Cars of Malton and now of www.elite-detailer.co.uk came down and did the cars for me.

I have to say his work is truly first class and the depth of colour and shine he can achieve is truly remarkable. Plus he's a nice guy and LOVES porsche which helps him listen to my boring ramblings on the subject...

Anyway, enjoy.... ( while this ones still in one piece! )

A beautiful motor car.

Especially love the grey wheels with the red bodywork.

Effing gorgeous. Love that. 10/10. Brilliant combo, and I love what you've done with the alloys. Make that car orange, and it'd be like I wrote away for it.

the alloys are LUSH

torchys car looked like this after a few days hard driving in the alps when they were covered in brake dust

i am sure he would have had the wheels done had he not sold the car to make his first million

Thank you very much indeed sir, I now know what alloys to buy and what colour they need to be.

Great job, Glynn! I didn't think that the 996 and 997s held guards red very well until I saw those shots. Superb!
