I couldnt get super for my 2.7 Boxster so used standard unleaded. Car felt like it was down 20 hairdryers (I mean BHP!!).....managed to find Optimax this weekend. Oh my god! the difference is unbelievable. For anyone running a Porsche on 95-DONT-try super, you wont believe the difference.

I would normally put tesco's 99unleaded fuel in but they were out of it. I put in 95 and I find the cars the same. this doe'nt mean I will be changing to this fuel.

Tesco were still testing the 99 stuff...

You are right it was the Shell Vmax (?) stuff..

The car just feels so much sharper, especially through the midrange.

I've never seen the Tesco 99 stuff. Can you get it near London? The BP102 is a little steep...

I used to use Optimax then switched to Tesco's Finest when it came out. I've just gone back to V-Power (optimax on steroids) and my 996 seems to prefer it. I allways thought any difference was just imagined, but there is a noticeable difference, small, but noticeable.
