It is for sale at Eporsch (www.eporsch.co.uk/0101for_sale.htm). It sounds like a loved car & I have had a picture of it by a lighthouse as a desktop (fate maybe?), just wondering if anyone knows it or if the previous owner is a PHer.

It does look expensive but has the benefit of recent Ninemeister re-build (check for more detail on this) and clutch & flywheel. This could be £5000 worth of work so there's some value in knowing you won't have any big bills for this stuff in the near future.

Owner was John Boggiano...extremely well known in 964 circles (and writes for Total 911) - recently very reluctantly sold it. It has been "well used" but by all accounts has been beautifully looked after - to the point of obsession some might say. And the use (track and touring) is what the car was designed for so you could argue it is likely to be in much better nick than a stop/start commuter barge. He was looking for in excess of 17K for it so the Eporsch figure looks pretty good. Check out his profile on Rennlist (for his posts on the car and a link to his website) and use the following link for loads of pics of the car http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bogg

Price is a bit on the steep side but reckon it's had all the majors done (the 9M rebuild is a bonus though John's website did not mention the clutch - whereas Eporsch does. Be worth checking that it was done at the same time)

John's had the car for eon's, always well cared for, and if memory serves it never wanted for anything.

JB had this car for 12 years IIRC and has only sold it due to moving to a 997GT3.

I've seen this car numerous times and yes it has been used but has also been looked after to obsession levels.

Take a look, i'm sure you'll be impressed.

Its a good car. he's had it for years. I remember him with it at the Walton Hall PCGB event about 6-7yrs ago. I can't stress how much different it is buying a "cheap" £14k 964 to buying an "expensive" £18k one. Put it this way, if you buy the cheap one the difference will be far more than £4k... (I'm generalising, but I'm sure you get the point).

I want the reg plate...my initials 'RMB'. That would go nicely on the 911 I'm buying myself for my birthday! lick
