Has anyone fitted one of these? Is it worth it? Any idea of cost?
Thanks

I had a B&M fitted to my Boxster within about 2 weeks of buying it.
I had come from a Honda S2000, which I still think has one of the best gearboxes out there. The shift is very tight and short. Lovely.

When I first test drove the Porsche I noticed how long the throw was and decided this certainly would not do.

I bought the shift kit off eBay, actually off someone else off Boxa.net, for £150. The chap had bought it mail order from the States where they are supposed to be really cheap. Then had it fitted by Zentrum Porsche in Notts for £70 all in. It is supposed to be a doodle to do yourself, but I simply could not be bothered to get my hands dirty Best money I ever spent on the Box. Makes the change really positive and ever so short in comparison to standard.

I am currently looking for a 911 and will be fitting a B&M short shifter again immediately.

Yep I agree the lever has too much travel on it so I think its a mod that I will have fitted. There seems to be one or two differant makes out there (do Porsche do one?) any further info would be appreciated. Thanks

I fitted one to my Boxster when I had it, I purchased a few from the States a few years ago and sold them to people on Boxa.net, They were a fair bit cheaper from the states than from the UK...
