My car is a July 03 registered and having only covered 8700 miles is coming up to its Major/24000 mile/4 Year Service. I intend on having the Brake Fluid cahnged and an Air-Con Service done at the same time.

My question is does anyone have any positive/negative experiences with either of these two OPC's, I am situated pretty much in the middle so either one is no problem distance wise. My only concern is that i'm a funny bugger when it comes to my cars and expect the utmost care and attention when I leave it in someone else's hands as I would think nothing of becoming heavy handed if I found some snotty tech had been "experiencing the power" while I left it with them. furious

Thanks in advance for your replies.

If you don't mind not having an OPC stamp in the book then try somewhere like Spec Cars of Malton.

I had a fair few dealings with a certain 'Brown ale OPC a few years back, not good.

I think Newcastle are only reasonable-ish.

The main problem (and it might be like this at ALL OPCs, I don't know) is that they have a bint on the service desk. She didn't know that my 993 was air cooled and that it got the heat for the cabin heater from heat exchangers from the manifold/exhaust system!! I cannot stand this. When I take my car for a service, I want to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about. This bird knew NOWT.

They rigidly stick to the "brakes needing changing early to be safe" side of things.

Yup Newcastle OPC rang me with the "you need new disks, pads & tyres". And of course they were all ok, they did loan me a cayenne, which was nice

I wouldn't use either.

Strasse or Specialist cars. I use the former and they are very good. They won't bullshit you with stuff that doesn't need doing.

Only use OPC is you want to burn money.

Visited Newcastle OPC, won't make that mistake again.

You'll be in good hands with Malton.

However, I have been trying to get a price for some exhausts of Johnny for about 6 months now
