New car for me and no manual, so I gather I need an H7 bulb, but does anyone know how easy in is to replace existing?

Take it to the OPC. I had a bulb go so I bought one from Motor World at £10. Then I found the tool for the removal of the headlight was missing so I ended up going to the OPC Wilmslow and getting them to do it. Cost? £2.98 fitted including the bulb. They didnt use mine so I took it back.

It will take a few minutes to fit.
Pop the carpet off under the bonnet near to the headlight. Two screw clips from memory.
Take the weird looking tool that looks like a bendy spanner from the toolkit.
When the carpet is gone you can see the bolt that pops the light unit out in the inner wing. Use weird tool to pop light unit. Unscrew access cover replace bulb.

Something like that. Must be clear now eh.
It is easy I managed without assistance or guidance and I am a technical dunce.
As you can probably tell.

Or as mentioned take it to the dealer but it's not really necessary.

Nice one guys. I'll try the DIY version first and if I'm fingers and thumbs then it's off to OPC. Who needs a manual!!

About the size of it, I had to do one on the Box a few months ago and AFAIK they are the same type of fitting. The nut(s) to releas the unit are not supposed to fully unscrew, they are 1/2 (I think) turn jobs that release the whole unit which is about 18" long and slides out fairly easily.

If you are feeling brave you could always go to Halfrauds and take advantage of their fitting service, that said i'd rather leave the car with the keys in in overnight in Moss Side than let them touch it...

It must be easy. I once did it while in a wobbly carriage on the EuroTunnel. And I'll wager I'm even more of a technical dunce than you.

I managed mine. Spent 20 mins undoing the screwy things before I realised that they were just going round and round and weren't actually going to come out without a bit of a tug, but other than that it was plain sailing. Was surprised to find no engine under the bonnet though scratchchin

Just had two bulbs replaced today at OPC Bournemouth, £36.

Ah, that'll be on of the 'Flintstone' Limited Editions. Totally impractical though as they seem to have filled the boot with lumps of metal and wires and suff yikes
