Porsche being sued in the US....
Discussion

Porsche being sued in the US for making the CGT too 'tail happy' and not providing enough training for drivers. Apparently the 930 is also 'too dangerous for the average driver with no experience'
Quite an interesting article.
Got to love those Americans....

I think it's quite old, so has probably been discussed before - here are some more details though:

When it comes to sueing someone to make a buck, pride or shame doesn't really seem to come into it in America, does it? Home of the brave my arse.
By similar logic, because Ken Livingstone and Gordon Brown are British, would that make all Britons deceitful?
What do you think? Would it help if I put a little asterisk or something on my post next time I generalise, to indicate that certain terms, conditions and limitations apply? I wouldn't want to get sued by an American.*
*This comment is of a general and non-specific nature, is bound by terms, conditions and limitations, and is in no way meant to imply or infer slight or slander on the broad collective that it may at first glance appear to address. The writer accepts that generalising is by it's nature a clumsy instrument, but lacking the names and addresses of everyone on the planet, the writer feels obliged and within his rights, at times, to make a more sweeping statement in the hopes that the usual caveats and exceptions, though not explicitly set out, will be taken 'as read' by those with a pedantic nature (or otherwise) that may or may not ever read this post.
I`m all for litigation, legislation and risk assessments! Keeps me in a job!
But all jokes aside, I am a defendant civil lawyer and can sympathise completely with businesses - its all a bit like PC gone mad. European legislation is absorbed in UK law in its entirity, unlike the rest of Europe who leave out the bits they don't like! The legislation treats employees like children; as if they don`t have brains or common sense. (ok some don't I know, I've seen the Darwin awards!
) The red tape that now exists is ridiculous..and costs the UK economy a fortune. I hope the action in America fails against Porsche .. because it will happen here next otherwise.

I'd include a disclaimer about forward-looking statements as well - you never know.

...but I do agree with flemke's Ken and Gordo observations though!

I object to that statement. Sometimes you do know.
See you in court.
Since we'd deal within the German law, you'd probably have to compensate the court for blatant bullshittieness, but easily redeem four times the amount by giving interviews to private TV and appearing in boring shows.
You'll hear from my lawyers then, and I'll have Kant in the witness stand.

That post upset me. So I'm now adding a claim for personal injury. Plus your name. Too many 'o's in that altogether. Reminds me of balls, so I'm throwing in sexual harrassment. And you said something about blatant bullshit. Back that up, mister. I've never used anything except the finest bullshit in any of my posts, so there's a defamation suit headed your way, too.
Feck it. Just send me all your money now and I'll cut you some slack, and spare you the court time. Kant could do with a break.
