Cup 1 964 RS Wheels
Discussion
Tricky,
The mags are 7.5 fronts with 9 inch rears...both 55 ET.
Cup 1's come 7 " with the 55 offset and 7.5 with a 65 offset....had some fun
with these on another Porsche...
Take a look at this link,,,scroling down to 17" sizes for details.

Tricky your telling me, thanks for the info very useful, desgn911 have some cheap Replicas (dont think there the mille miglia ones though) see what you think of these:
17inch CUP1 ALLOYS
Fits directly to 964/993/944 86>>/928,
Front 7.5J ET52 & Rear 9J ET47
ID99944000003A
£ 550.00
if purchased going straight in for Satin Matt black finish....there only for abusing Trackside really

My take on it...and I am not trying to be awkward....honest
The wheels may well fit, but the offset is not quite as specified for the particular car by the manufacturer.....when we are so detailed about set up/alignment, I prefer it all to be correct.
Personally I am not sure about replica wheels on track.
Wheels used on track often hitting marker kerbs etc.....I would prefer a Porsche approved wheel (often made by BBS or speedline) or recognised track wheel specialist, that way you can be more confident the wheel is up to it's intended task.
replicas may well be fine,,,,but probably come in various weights and strentghs,,,some perhaps better than others.

thats exactly the problems I'm having correct sizes / Offsets although to be honest I dont think the width difference of .5" up front will make much difference (Er! I maybe wrong)and the offsets aren't a million miles different 3mm up front, 8mm on the rear, just means more spacers doesn't it ? but it may well effect the Geom setup I've had recently.......Questions, questions, Questions...perhaps I'll just have to go with my original choice of BBS 17" racing rim (LM Style) with the Black ally centers there exactly the same as the mag originals 17" 7.5/9 ET55 only problem is the £2100 they cost + Rubber thats precisely 4x as much as the Replicas for 0.5" on the width 3mm more offset up front and 8mm on the rear.....oh well just don't tell the missus
The half inch up front will mean that you can run a wider tyre which if you're after these for track days will make an improvement. The offset difference (depending which way you go) may not be too bad as you'll get a slightly wider track - again this is better than using spacers as the 'spacer' is effectively built into the wheel itself.
I'd also agree with the points already made re. "duff wheels as they're only for track use" - depending on which types of track you frequent then having an issue with a wheel could be either marginally embarrasing or near fatal.

I would ask about the weight too. ISTR checking the weight of the mille miglia copies and each wheel was something like 7 pounds heavier then the 16" cups I have at the moment. You may find that the extra weight over your originals makes the steering much heavier on the track etc.
Interesting post this; regarding wheels being up for the job. I've used BBS mags, Porsche mags, sppedline 3 piece and cup 1 copies on trackdays and or racing.
I've cracked loads of BBS mags, a few speedline inner rims and 964 mags, but I've never managed to crack my trusting old cup 1 copies. Weigh a lot but last forever.
Regarding offsets: Depending on which way it varies obviously fixed with spacers. Just have the geometry set up once you've got your desired wheel / spacer combination.

By the sound of the size and off set the wheels you have been offered do sound like MM replica Cup 1s.
This is a good sight to compare wheel weights etc.
