no A/C - you will fry in the summer
err...its got windows hasnt it?

do you get chilled air by opening the window of a car with crap ventillation?
come for a spin in mine in mid summer and you'll see what I mean
well, each to his own, though in all honesty i think global warming has a way to go before making the english summer unbearable. have you thought of getting your thyroid gland checked?
then again I drove around for 2 summers in a 944 with the heating stuck on hot. so maybe I should get MY thyroid checked
I personally believe that AC is very desireable almost esssential in a 993. When I was looking it was adding £800 to £1000 to the value of a 993. Don't believe what you read about the AC never working on a 993. Granted it's not as good as a modern car but mine will blow cold air at you in the middle of summer.

Didn't have it in my old 993, and can't say I really missed it......but the car was lighter, and didn't have extra pulleys, etc, to turn, so probably quicker to pick up.
Absolutely impossible to say without seeing the car. It`s 12 years old and there is a huge variation in what`s out there.
As a guess we`d buy it in for between £16 & £20k depending on what turns up on the day.
Re: the a/c I think at that age the car`s condition is of far more importance.
Just for the record, (as it is because of our putting "assume not working" in adverts that people think the a/c is crap), there is nothing generically wrong with 993 a/c. The problem is that on a 10 or 20 year old car the a/c is likely to be not working due to 1 or more leaks in the system. Rarely does it "just need a top up".
It stops working, you think to your self I must get that sorted, the sun stops shining, you put it off until the summer, summer comes & it rains, eventually in early September there is a hot day, you think I must get the a/c sorted, the sun passes, you think I`ll leave it until next summer & so it goes on.
