When I first joined this forum I recall noticing that classified ads for 996's outnumbered 993's by around 2:1. I've just noticed that the ratio is now increased in the 996 direction to 4:1.

Even 997 ads now exceed 993's, although only just.

Surely the reasonable condition £15k 996 must be on the horizon?

Can you not find one of your Dad's Razzles to entertain yourself or something hehe

The £15k 996 is already here. For a 150k mile shagger with no history.

Oh, in fact, who gives a flying one?

How about this ratio?

1 in 2 topics started by a993lad have been about 996s.

ETA: There must be more than four times as many 996s made than ing 993s. What does that say?????????

Only now that I've read the first posting, do I realise it's not a thread about how much better the 996 is - it wasn't entirely clear from the topic title

Maybe it is. We all know your view on aero kits, kayc's views on GT3s, and now if I see a 996 post by a993lad I've got a pretty good idea what it's about.

Some prefer the 993, I can understand that, some prefer the faster 996. Get that chip of your shoulder 993 boys, it's starting to smell.

Ooh you 996 owners are so sensitive.

For the record I think all 911's are great cars. Including the 996.

But the 996 is surely destined to be cheap as chips, and on that basis I'm thinking of buying one as my station car. Just look at how many of them are on the market.

Great car at rock bottom prices, with loads to choose from.

For matter of your stats: It's aero kits on non-GT cars. Don't want to mess them up do you

I know, you've mentioned it a few times, can't give you exact number, sorry.

I personally like them, but understand that's my taste and not everyone's. In the same way a 993 or even 997 may be someone's preference, just not mine. I don't need to vinidicate my choice by knocking other's.

As for stats, I clicked on a profile to get mine, as opposed to trawling throught the classifieds.

I don't like aero-kitted non-GT3 996s. But then again, when I ordered my last non-GT3 996, I put an aero-kit on it.

I'm mad, me. And inconsistent. Tough to keep up, to be honest.

What's your point? I'm sure some 993s are more than 996s in the same way I'm sure that the vast majority of 996s are worth considerably more than 993s.

I simply couldn't care less and, it appears, neither does anyone else apart from you.

Go and have a pull over your car, you deserve it my friend.
