Hi All - Well.....what seems like A long time ago now....about a year......I posted on PistonHeads about how i was the proud owner of a GP White 964 C2 CAB 1991 and it was stolen. You guys seemed a nice bunch and made the thread ticky for a while so anybody with information could contact me.....well the 964 was never to be seen again....bastards

however....insurance paid up and i was not going to let that be the end of owning a 911.....so got myself a 993. see pics. Just thought i would share this with you and hope you will let me come and play in this forum from time to time.

Hope you like the 993....even the controversial walnut dash.

More details on car and me etc later if thats what you do on this site.

cheers

Chris W.

Nice car.

The wood dash is "challenging" for sure, but nothing if not a talking point.

Is it made of briar, by any chance....?

Sorry, sorry..... /coat.......

I like that! I don't mind the wood dash at all. However, IMO the aftermarket rear spoiler looks weird with the cab top. I'd change it back to the regular item.

Very Morganesque ...

i.e. lots of timber bits!!
I quite like it actually , adds to the period style looks.

Soory , I'm only bendin your twig hehe .. It's good to see you came out best after your previous horrible experience . Certainly a fantastic looking motor.

All...so far....don't worry about letting me know what you realy think..no problem as we all have different taste + i like a good bit of banter.

I bought the 993 with the wood effect dash + tail and splits already on....it was the right price at the right time so just had to do it.

Not sure of the make of dash....but i kind of like it now...wasn't sure at first but having had a standard blue 964 dash, the 993 dash seems to be less bland...so to speak.

The tail...again..had a standard back end on the 964 so this RS style back end was something different for me and has grown on me from the day i bought it.

The stolen 964....it was a painfull but good way to upgrade in the end.

Cheers

it may look like an aftermarket spoiler but was in fact a Porsche factory fit option at the time! teacher

Also, the bit of tree bark across the dash would lead me to believe it's and import from Singapore or Hong Kong...they seem to spec their cars like that...IMO

no...this is not an import but i can see were you are coming from.
As for Factory spec...this is an aftermarket wing as the factory wing top blade was motorised to tilt as per the standard rear wing....mine is a fixed wing.

The interior dash is aftermaket and IMHO it has not been fitted to a very high standard. The bottom edge of the dash panel needs some trim or should of been rounded off like the briar dash parts.

I'm quite supprised nobody has noticed the TARGA wheels on a CAB yet!!!!

The previous owner was a magician who thought he was David Copperfield and had the car modified....wheels n all.

To be honest the standard 993 body shape, especially the front end is a bit tame for me....so just had to go for the wings and splitters to be different.

Change the wheels and spoiler, take off the wooden dash, and it'd be nice. Oh, and make it a fixed-head while you're at it.

I don't like it, I'm afraid, but I'm pleased that you do.
